Change Windows 7 DNS Addressing

In the Windows 7, click the Start button -->the Control Panel --> Network and Internet --> Network and Sharing Center --> On the left hand panel, Click the "Change adapter settings " link --> You will see a list of adapters present on your computer --> Double-click the Local Area Connection --> Select the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on properties button --> Check the change the Obtain DNS and fill the DNS server boxes. You can use the following OpenDNS ip:

Typing 208.67.222.222 in the Preferred DNS server boxes.
Typing 208.67.220.220 in the Alternate DNS server boxes.

Then click OK button to apply.

Install Windows XP Mode in Windows 7

If your computer runs Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 7 Professional, or Windows 7 Ultimate users, you can install Windows XP Mode.

First, go to the Windows XP Mode download page. Find out 'Step 1 - Select the appropriate installation'. Then select your system type and Xp Mode language. To finish it by clicking on the 'Download Windows XP Mode' button.
Notes: The setup file has approximately 460 MB.

When pop-up the setup file of Windows XP Mode window, click "Save File". Waiting for a mimute, you can start to install Windows XP Mode.

How to Disable Windows 7 Desktop Preview

Maybe you dont like the Desktop Preview feature, here is a tutorials how to disable it.

Right click the extreme right side of the Taskbar. It will pop up a menu and choose "Peek at desktop". Then the aero peak will be disabled.

By default, Autoplay feature is disabled in Windows 7.

1.In Windows 7,Click the Start Button and select the control panel. Make sure that control panel open up under the default view.

Enable Hibernate through Power Options

Click the Start button --> the Control Panel by All Items View --> the Power Options icon --> expand Sleep and Hibernate after in the Power Options window --> Under Hibernate after, set the Setting (Minutes) to how many minutes the computer is inactive for before hibernating --> click OK to apply.
