no sound come out

My computer run windows 7 with a EP45-UD3L F3 motherboard. I had install the latest sound driver which works with Windows 7. But it is no sound in windows 7.Any help on this would be appreciated.

Today I fixed it. The set up got changed from what XP had. I didn't actually go through the set up every time I switched jacks.

remove soundcard then No sound

I had installed windows 7, but did not install the soundcard driver. My sound with onboard was working.
Then i installed an emu 0404 soundcard, because my sound stuttert. After installtion fnisish sound stopped. So I removed the Emu after problems. It's No sound now. Any one help me?

How to solve it?
The best thing to do IMO is to uninstall all sound devices in 'Device Manager'.
Then scan for hardware changes. This will force Windows to re-configure and if need be, download from Windows Update and install the sound card. This will also set all defaults to the newly installed (old ) sound device.
