A study by the NDP, Microsoft had sold 234% of box Windows 7 October 22 of that last box of Windows Vista on the day of its launch.
It is true that the reductions that Microsoft has granted have stimulated demand. Despite these promotions, Windows 7 is more lucrative than Vista with a turnover 82% higher. The comparisons include sales of pre-orders and those carried out on launch day system.
There is still a caveat. It did not sell as many computers embarking 7 that during the release of his unfortunate ancestor (6% lower than at launch in 2007). Google Chrome OS may fail
Google Chrome OS is a lightweight OS,What do you think of Windows 7 vs. Google Chrome OS? But in my mind Google might fail miserably. Windows 7 Will won finally.
There are some reasons:
1.Google Chrome OS is not a real OS and require less software.Although you are using Google Docs, Office, Mail apps etc.
2.when Google releases their Chrome OS, What do people think of its crappy backwards-compatibility.Many things will not be compatible with it.

Windows 8 Codename Midori
What Windows 8 Codename Midori is aimed to rebuild entirely Windows, it will be goodbye to NT kernel? This will not be programmed in C / C + + code but in mixed as C #, F #, etc
Therefore for the time being "Midori" will make reference to Windows 8 when used in many articles and of course rumors that should start appearing after Windows 7.
I think that windows 7 is the last of the x86 32 bit operatings.
